North Powder, Oregon - Noralee "Nora" Honey Evans, 72, of North Powder, passed away on May 25, 2025, at her children's residence. At her request there will be no service.

Noralee was born on August 3, 1952 in Sweet Home, Oregon to Newton Roy and Hazel Paulene (Massey) Evans. She resided in Seiad Valley, California and North Powder, Oregon, among others. Noralee attended grade schools in Seiad Valley, CA, briefly attended North Powder schools, and graduated from Happy Camp High in California. She received her Associate's Degree from Eastern Oregon University (EOU) in La Grande, Oregon.

Noralee was employed by the offices of North Powder Lumber for many years and Ace Nursery in Baker City, Oregon, among others. She was also an In-Home Caregiver; she would make sure those who she cared for would feel loved and well attended and enjoyed helping others.

Noralee enjoyed many things in life. She loved being outdoors, gardening and had a love for all animals. Many summers were spent camping and fishing at the Snake River and mushrooming in the mountains of Eastern Oregon, as well as, many hours spent in her vegetable garden. She had a big green thumb. She could grow anything except Orchids (her words) and couldn't hurt a fly. She was a kind soul with a heart of gold. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Noralee is survived by her children; Shilo Evans of North Powder, OR and Max Evans (Krista) of Island City, OR; son-in-law, Darold Kratochvil; 3 grandchildren (soon to be 4), Jake Kratochvil of La Grande, OR, and Lincoln & Atlas Evans of Island City, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents; birth mother, Hazel Paulene (Massey) Evans; father, Newton Roy Evans, and mother, Honey Elizabeth Stock; daughter, Otilla (Tillie) Stock-Kratochvil, and sister, Margalee Simonis.
