Pendleton, Oregon - Marie Parker passed away surrounded by her large family.

Marie was born to Aldine (Cleek) and John Parker in Priest River Idaho. She grew up in Chewelah, Washington on a farm with siblings Paul & Sharon. She graduated from Chewelah High School in 1952. On December 9, 1952 she married Ernest Melvin Parker. Together they had 14 children and later divorced.

She was an ambitious mother. While raising her children they always had a large garden, with chickens, pigs, and other livestock to assist feeding the large family. As her children grew she babysat to provide loving care for others. Many of

those grown children still call her Grandma.

Marie loved to decorate her home with treasures found at various locations, as well as tending her thriving flower garden. She loved her plants, both indoors and out! She enjoyed trips to the mountains, walking by the river, and playing the piano, which she learned as a child and played by ear.

She is survived by her children Ernie (Judy), Rod (Karen), Dena, Dean (Nancy), Carmen (Bob), Darla, Pat (Jackie), Charlie, Doug (Tricia), and Robert (Billie). 41 grandchildren, 52 great-grand kids, and 9 great-great-grands. She was

preceded in death by her parents, children Mike, John, Jim and Marilyn, and her brother Paul.

Marie lived a full life and was ready to go home to her Lord. She will be missed by so many, and especially at Christmas when her large family would gather together on Christmas Eve to sing Christmas carols as she played the piano.

At her request, the family will hold a private celebration and interment.
