Pendleton, OR - Linda Rae Rogers of Pendleton Oregon passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 85 years old.

She was born on September 28, 1940, to Agnes Alexander Rogers and Robert John Rogers in La Grande, Oregon.

Linda grew up in Union, Oregon, graduating from Union High School in 1958. She reigned as the Queen of the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show in 1957, then went on to went on to represent her community as an Elgin Stampede Princess that summer.

Linda enrolled at Eastern Oregon College, later EOU, to pursue journalism. She met and later married Jon Pugsley of Pendleton, Oregon, residing in Pendleton until her passing in April.

Linda devoted her early years to being a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed volunteering in her community and at St. Joseph's Academy in Pendleton where her daughter attended elementary school. Later, Linda worked at Carefree Tour and Travel and The Murphy House in Pendleton. She retired from the Pendleton School District where she was employed for many years as a special education assistant at Sherwood Elementary School.

Linda enjoyed many varied art and craft hobbies, collecting antiques, and planting beautiful flowers around her home. She loved her kitties, her friends, and her family. Linda especially enjoyed every moment spent as Grandma to her four grandchildren, and great-grandchild. The newest baby arrived just after her passing, but we know Great-Gma Linda was watching over her and sending her love.

She is survived by her husband, Jon; her daughter, Suzanne with husband Tim; grandchildren: McKennon with husband Jordan, Kevin, Alexander with wife Catherine, and Joseph; and her great-grandchildren: Callan and Clara.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes, Robert Busick, her father, John, and son, Robert Jon.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at St. Andrew's Mission Church, at 11 am.
