Jaylee Alina McLain Obituary

Tuscarora, Nevada - Jaylee Alina McLain was expected to make her debut into our world in early February. Instead, she took her own sweet baby time and kept us in anticipation before making her entrance on February 29, 2024. As only newborns can do, Jaylee had her first time parents Meagan McKenzie and Telden McLain wrapped around her finger upon arrival. From the beginning she stole the hearts of everyone with her silliness and infectious smile.

At home, in Tuscarora, NV, waiting for Jaylee was a brown shag dog named Carl. Carl would become Jaylee's best four legged buddy. Wherever Jaylee went, Carl was soon to be found. Jaylee's love for all animals was ever present, and her affectionate manner drove her to always be out with the puppies, at the barn latched to Frosty's leg, or harassing her kitties in the house.

Jaylee had the coolest toys and could often be found playing with her older cousins including Wylin, Billi, and Demi McLain as well as Rossi Rodriguez. Jaylee enjoyed holidays with her family in Wallowa, OR which included playing with cousins Dylan, Emma, and Avah Carper, Graeme and Tilly McKenzie, Finley and Everett Adler, Jett and Greyson Carper.

On May 22, 2026, Jaylee was involved in a tragic accident and was welcomed into the arms of the Lord. Services for Jaylee were held on June 1, 2026 at Great Basin College Auditorium in Elko, NV with private interment following in the Tuscarora Cemetery in Tuscarora, NV.

Miss Jaylee is survived by her parents Meagan McKenzie and Telden McLain; grandparents Dan and Cathy McKenzie; Steve McLain; Cowboy and Shammy Rodriguez. In addition, Jaylee leaves behind her great-grandma Sharon Rhoads; uncles Malachi McLain (Shelbi Jones), Willis (Maddie) Rodriguez; and Aunt Mamie Rodriguez, Aunt "TT" Christina Carper (Mike Watts); Uncle Kasey (Lisa) McKenzie; Aunt Monique (Ian)Adler.
