Janette Lynne Divish (Nash) (Janet) Obituary

Portland, Oregon - Janette Lynne Divish (Nash), beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to her Lord and Savior on February 1, 2026. Janette was born on April 28, 1951, in Hermiston, Oregon, to Jack Nash and Shirley E. Zaklan.

The fifth of nine children, Janette was cherished by her large family. She grew up in Pendleton, Oregon, where she discovered an early talent for cooking, baking, and entertaining. She spent her early career managing restaurants on the Oregon coast before eventually owning her own restaurant in Hermiston, Oregon, with her husband, Dale. Janette and Dale were married for 17 years and raised two children, Dale and Jenny.

Janette was a Life Member and staunch supporter of VFW Post 922. A dedicated volunteer, she gave generously of her time and resources to the Pilot Rock Baptist Church and the Pilot Rock food pantry. Known to her 20+ nieces and nephews as "Fava," she was the "favorite aunt" famous for her thoughtful gifts and her habit of slipping the kids "traveling money." She also took great pride in being a "grandma" to her daughter's three puppies: Chloe, Mabel, and Westy.

Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Nash and Robert and Shirley Zaklan; her siblings, John Nash, LeRoy Nash (and sister-in-law Nancy), Nikki Mikesell, Colleen Roach, and Robert Zaklan Jr.; her niece, Michelle Wallace; and her nephew, Kurtis Nash.

She is survived by her siblings, Jackie Mason, Gary Nash, and Rebecca Griffin; her son, Dale; and her daughter, Jenny (and husband Jay).
