Vancouver, WA - Brigadier General (Ret.) James Michael "Mike" Caldwell of the Oregon Army National Guard was born in La Grande, Oregon, on July 27, 1951. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Krissa; his daughters, Erin and Kacie; his four beloved grandchildren, Siena, Nora, Theo, and Henry; and his three brothers, Pete (Kathy), Kevin (Connie) Patrick (Shelley). He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kristopher; his parents; and his brother, Bob.
Mike was known for his humor, generosity, and deep devotion to his family. He proudly served the Oregon National Guard for 40 years, held multiple civic leadership roles, and was devoted to community and public service.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 13 at 1300 hours at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Oregon.
